Post Production Audio: Final Project

Ray Otero Jr. Post Audio: Sound is the propagation of molecules through a medium, causing compressions and rarefactions to occur. The movement of sound can be viewed as a beautiful wave of emotion that touches the very heart and soul of its listener. At least that is the way I like to think of it. Music and sound have inspired me throughout my entire life and have been instrumental in helping to define who I am. To have the opportunity to work in a field that envelopes me in sound on a daily basis is more than I could ever ask for. Music production, sound design, and voice recording are critical to making well-produced television or films, as well as gaming and other forms of multimedia. The ability to capture a moment in time sonically is truly art in of itself. It is the ability to create a mood or feeling to moving picture that resonates at the core of what makes us human. Sound design, scoring, and ADR mixing are what I enjoy doing the most. As a long time musician I have found that doing sound design, or any other aspect of post production audio requires a certain understanding of pace and rhythm. In thinking about any project that I work on I am always thinking, how do I want the audience to feel.
